Tanzanian Gold names Andrew Cheatle as COO

Tanzanian Gold (TRX +2.1%) announces the appointment of Mr. Andrew Cheatle to the position of Chief Operating Officer.
Mr. Cheatle is an accomplished mining executive, geoscientist, and director. His experience includes senior positions with the development of Anglo American Corporation’s Moab Khotsong Gold Mine, JCI’s South Deep Project and major expansions of Placer Dome’s/Goldcorp’s Musselwhite Mine.
Additionally, TanGold and its joint venture partner, The State Mining Company (‘STAMICO’), received approval of the updated mine plan for the Buckreef Gold Project from the Mining Commission in Tanzania.
